                                                       February in Grade One   With “I Love to Read” being the theme for February, literacy tends to have a stronger focus during this month . One of the many highlights of February included a visit from a guest police officer from the City of Winnipeg Police who came as a guest reader. He read a story to the students in the library and then answered questions from the students including, of course, his favourite doughnut! The students were excited to speak with a “real” police officer !
