                                            Welcome to Grade One !

 

 

 

 

In the blink of an eye, the leaves are changing colours and September is coming to a close. My first month at St. Gerard School has been truly a blessing! The students have been so welcoming and accepting of me in their school as a new teacher here.

 

I am astounded by the curiosity and intrigue that has surrounded me with these wonderful students in Grade One as we've been discovering new concepts ranging from the French language, the Trinity in Religion class, to subtraction in Math! We've been challenging and expanding our brains daily and loving every minute of it!

 

In early October, parents please watch for a zippered home reading pouch to be coming home with details inside of it!

 

Please remember to use your child's agenda for any daily communication such as early pick up for appointments. Also, feel free to email me if you have the need to do so. Open, honest communication is important.

 

I look forward in anticipation to another month of inquiry and learning with these wonderful students!

  Dear Beloved Grade One Families, The end of the school year is almost here...(two months go by quickly), and that means we have almost reached the end of the marathon! Can you believe we have survived another year? But we did! Kudus to all of us! And thank you for another great school year. The last two months are always bustling with activities, for sure. There will be ongoing assessments for the Term 3 Reporting Period, crafts and projects, and the end-of-year field trip happening in the next few weeks. As we wrap up the final weeks of school, I'd like to express my gratitude to the community of parents who have helped champion learning throughout the year.
